Every hero has a back story.

This is about Ike Knowles: a GenZ guy who tried to end it all (his cancer came back) only to find out he could fly; whose friend group transitioned from a crime spree robbing MDMA houses disguised as democratic socialists to become a legendary force for good; and how he fell in love with his (kind of) stepsister, who turns out to be the key to everything, along the way.

And it all takes place in San Francisco, except for the parts (Bhutan, Hong Kong) that don't.

Bio

DM Lieberman is the first time author of The Tragedy of Harry and Sylvanella, a novel. Dan's goal is to use fiction to explore the human condition. Prior to becoming a writer, Dan was a neurosurgeon. Before that, he led the Brain Implantation Unit at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. He was awarded a BS degree in Mathematics and Computer Science at Pepperdine in 1987 and MD from the University of Arizona in 1991. Dan and his wife reside in their hometown of Phoenix, Arizona.
